Dear Member,

Peacock Fly Fishing Club

Welcome to the Grayling season on the Wye. Your membership allows continuous fishing from the end of the trout fishing season on October 7th until January 7th 2009.

You may also bring a couple of guests. As the host, it will your responsibility to see that any guests are well acquainted with the no-wading rule and are able to handle the fish carefully.

The dry fly rule is waved throughout the Grayling season. These predominantly bottom feeding fish will take a shrimp, nymph or caddis, fished singularly or in teams of three. The best areas are the lower limit, Bakewell Showground and the town length.

In order to help certain charities and good causes we reserve the following days. Apart from these days you may fish whenever and as often as you wish.

  • October 12 Salmon and Trout Children's Day
  • October 20th Langley Park Boys School
  • November 16th Grayling Society Derbyshire Branch
  • November 29th -30th Wild Trout Trust
  • December 7th Grayling Society Staffordshire Branch

See you on the river,

Warren
